Although our main subject here on Romance Tracker is of course love and romance, I do occasionally like to write a quick post about the blogging world as well. After all, Romance Tracker is technically a blog, and many of our readers are bloggers, too!
One of the best ways to get some good publicity for your blog, attract new readers, and have some fun is by taking part in a group writing project sponsored by another site. This week one of my favorite blogs, Daily Blog Tips, has sponsored a group writing project asking bloggers to write a post about what their blogging goals for 2008 are.
Romance Tracker’s first year on the Internet has been a great one, and our daily visits and subscribers are much higher now than I ever thought they would be heading into 2008. Still, I would have to say that my main goal for 2008 is to increase the amount of relevant search engine traffic that is driven to the site every day. The vast majority of our daily visitors come from people searching for romantic ideas on Google, and I’d like to increase that traffic as well as the traffic we receive from other search engines such as MSN and Yahoo.
New visitors means more RSS subscribers, and for those of you paying attention you may have noticed that Romance Tracker’s subscriber number recently surpassed 300 readers! That’s really great, and by posting new articles on a regular basis throughout 2008, I hope to see that number increase even more. It’s really a great feeling to know that the stuff we write about here on Romance Tracker is considered helpful by so many people.
So, what are your blogging goals for 2008? It could be to increase your RSS readers, to increase your income, or maybe just to write more good posts. Whatever your goals are, make sure to post about them and take part in the Daily Blog Tips writing project!
