“Amazing Romantic Date Ideas” now for sale on Romance Tracker

Hey everyone!  We’re really excited to announce that Romance Tracker has just released its first E-Book  entitled  “Amazing Romantic Date Ideas,” which is now available for download exclusively on the Romance Tracker website.

Some of the most common terms that our new visitors use to find Romance Tracker online have to do with fun dates and dating ideas, and we decided to put the very best dating tips from our archives together in one place.  “Amazing Romantic Date Ideas” covers areas such as friendship and dating, holding hands, romantic meals, and even “clinginess” in dating and whether it’s a good thing.

“Amazing Romantic Date Ideas” isn’t just for single people, either.  It’s loaded with lots of tips for married couples and single people alike that will help you add more excitement and romance to any date, getaway or relationship.  The E-Book download is 36 pages long, and you can quickly and easily download it to your desktop to read or print it out.  It includes plenty of great color photos of couples on great dates, too!

If you’re interested in downloading “Amazing Romantic Date Ideas” for yourself to read, the cost is only seven bucks.  That’s definitely worth it when it comes to planning for the perfect fun, romantic date!  We hope you enjoy Romance Tracker’s first E-Book, and keep your eye out for more to come!

We’re giving away 100 bucks a month . . . forever!

For those of you who don’t know, Romance Tracker has a sister site called Contest Blogger, which has quickly become the most popular place online to share and search contests, sweepstakes and free samples offers. And one of our favorite things to do is to put on contests of our own to reward our readers for linking back to us on their sites or blogs.

We’ve run sporadic contests to give away cash to people who linked back to us in the past, but today we’re kicking off an awesome new policy: every month, from now on, we’re going to give $100 cash (payable via PayPal) to a random person who links back to Romance Tracker or Contest Blogger on their blog.

You read that right: if you link back to Romance Tracker, whether it’s in your sidebar, a post, or whatever, we will put your name in the hat to win 100 smackeroos, dude! And here’s the really cool thing: once you’ve linked back to us, we’ll leave your name on the list of entrants forever as long as you don’t delete the link. That means that with just one link, you’ll have the chance to win $100 every single month from now on.

You’ll get more permanent entries in the drawing if you also link back to Contest Blogger (and another one of our network sites, Advertising Blogger). Also, if you have multiple blogs or sites, you’ll get more entries if you link to us on more than one site.

I hope that isn’t too confusing; basically, what it adds up to is that you have a chance to get tons of entries in a monthly giveaway that could put $100 cash in your pocket instantly.

Go check out this post to learn more about how to enter (dude, it’s totally easy) and how we will be announcing and contacting winners. Once you’ve linked back, we will detect your link via Technorati and automatically enter your blog in the giveaway (or if you want to be certain we see your link, you can contact us via the contact form on Contest Blogger). Either way, we’ll enter you in the permanent giveaway and verify that we recorded your link.

Good luck! :)

Let Advertising Blogger sell your blog advertising!

This is a guest post from one of Romance Tracker’s favorite members of the Blogosphere: the one and only Contest Blogger.

Okay, so this may not be about romance, but I know that a lot of Romance Tracker readers are bloggers, and I wanted to let you in on a new site we’ve kicked off to help you sell advertising on your blog!

So check it out: Contest Blogger has gotten pretty doggone popular in the last few months, and we’ve decided to expand into yet another niche.  You know how Contest Blogger gives you tons of free publicity for your blog contests?  Well now we’re going to help you get the word out about the advertising you’re selling on your blog, too.  The new site is called Advertising Blogger, and we’re totally looking for new blogs to write about, dude.

advertising-blogger.jpg

Want us to write about your blog’s advertising options on Advertising Blogger?  Just shoot us a note and let us know what kind of advertising you’re selling and how much you charge.  I’ll tell our readers all about it, and hopefully you’ll be able to make a few extra bucks.

And it’s totally free, dude.  No, seriously.  Just link back to Advertising Blogger if you get a chance and let your readers know about us.  I don’t want to have to search all over the Blogosphere for advertising pages to write about, so drop me a line and I’ll write a post about you.

So, here’s a recap: Go check out Advertising Blogger.  Shoot me a note to tell me about the advertising you sell on your blog.  Then I’ll write a post about it and help you sell your ads.

Total cost for you?  Nothing, dude.  Just help me spread the word about Advertising Blogger with your readers and we’ll call it even.

Romance Tracker’s 2008 blogging goals

Although our main subject here on Romance Tracker is of course love and romance, I do occasionally like to write a quick post about the blogging world as well.  After all, Romance Tracker is technically a blog, and many of our readers are bloggers, too!

One of the best ways to get some good publicity for your blog, attract new readers, and have some fun is by taking part in a group writing project sponsored by another site.  This week one of my favorite blogs, Daily Blog Tips, has sponsored a group writing project asking bloggers to write a post about what their blogging goals for 2008 are.

Romance Tracker’s first year on the Internet has been a great one, and our daily visits and subscribers are much higher now than I ever thought they would be heading into 2008.  Still, I would have to say that my main goal for 2008 is to increase the amount of relevant search engine traffic that is driven to the site every day.  The vast majority of our daily visitors come from people searching for romantic ideas on Google, and I’d like to increase that traffic as well as the traffic we receive from other search engines such as MSN and Yahoo.

New visitors means more RSS subscribers, and for those of you paying attention you may have noticed that Romance Tracker’s subscriber number recently surpassed 300 readers!  That’s really great, and by posting new articles on a regular basis throughout 2008, I hope to see that number increase even more.  It’s really a great feeling to know that the stuff we write about here on Romance Tracker is considered helpful by so many people.

So, what are your blogging goals for 2008? It could be to increase your RSS readers, to increase your income, or maybe just to write more good posts.  Whatever your goals are, make sure to post about them and take part in the Daily Blog Tips writing project!

Romance Tracker review on BlogsWeLuv

Here’s a big Romance Tracker “thank you” to Christine Senter, a new contributer to a site called BlogsWeLuv.com that features great blogs from across the web.  Christine chose Romance Tracker as the her first blog to review on BlogsWeLuv, and she had some great things to say about us.  We appreciate it, Christine, and hope our readers go check out your blog if they get a chance!  Here’s a good paragraph from her review:

I have to admit, I was kind of shocked to see that this site was put together by a man, nothing personal to any men out there. In fact, this site proves that men can still be romantic. Phil’s site isn’t written just toward men, though. His site is written in a way that can be used by both men and women.

It’s true, men really can be romantic!  Just remember: real romance isn’t the schmaltzy stuff you see on movies.  Real romance is subtle, patient, and understated.  There are a lot more old-fashioned romantics out there than you think!

By the way, have you entered the Love Contest yet?  Go check it out!

Romance Tracker’s new Page Rank, The Love Contest and other stuff

So I owe a huge “thank you” to all of Romance Tracker’s thousands of readers.  Want to know why?  I came back from a business trip this week to see that Romance Tracker’s Google Page Rank had risen from a 4 to a 5!

For those of you who don’t know, Page Rank is basically a measure of how many websites link back to yours.  A PR 5 is pretty darn good in the blogosphere, so I’m as happy as can be.  But I realize that our new Page Rank is due to you, our readers.  Without you linking back to Romance Tracker, our Page Rank would be exactly zero!  So here’s a big Romance Tracker Thanks to everyone who has linked back to us.

I’m also happy because our Love Contest is going well and lots of Romance Tracker readers have entered.  If you haven’t entered yet, I hope you will.  It’s an easy way to win a quick hundred dollars, and all you have to do is link back to Romance Tracker using the anchor text “love” or subscribe to our RSS feed.

Lastly, has anyone taken a look at our RSS feed subscriber number lately?  It’s quickly approaching 300! That’s really awesome, and I want to thank everyone who enjoys our articles enough to subscribe.  I’m going to keep up with my half of the bargain by continuing to publish great, informative romance articles, and can’t wait to see that number reach 300!

Romance Tracker radio interview

If you get a chance, hop over and listen to an interview I gave recently on a radio show called By Husbands For Husbands, where I talked about Romance Tracker, blogging, and other things.  The program lasts about an hour, and if you’re curious to learn more about me or Romance Tracker, go have a listen.  I really had a blast and hope you enjoy it!

Romance Tracker makes it into the Technorati Top 10,000 Blogs

I’m happy to say that Romance Tracker has finally broken into the elite group of Technorati’s Top 10,000 Blogs, which reflects the popularity of our site and the amount of backlinks we’ve gotten from fans across the Blogosphere.   With  millions and  millions of blogs on the Internet, being listed among the top 10K in the world is quite an honor!

That means we have a new goal, though: to get into the Technorati Top 5,000.  If you’re a Romance Tracker fan, please let your readers know about us and link back using the anchor text “romance” if you get a chance.  And don’t forget to add us as one of your Technorati Favorites!

My votes in two group writing projects

Group writing projects are a great way to gain readers and exposure for your blog, and Romance Tracker recently submitted entries for projects put on by Daily Blog Tips (with our post 3 Ways Your Blog Can Get You a Hot Date) and Blue Jar (with our post Top 5 ways to romance your blog ).

The top winners in both writing projects stand to win some great prizes, and the entrants themselves get to vote on their favorite picks. I’m including my favorite entry votes in this post and encourage all of you to check them out if you get a chance!

Use BlogRush to get tons of new traffic for your blog!

I try to be careful about the widgets and buttons I put in the Romance Tracker sidebar, and generally subscribe to the “less is more” theory of thinking because I don’t like my sites to get too cluttered with junk.  But you’ll notice I’ve recently added the new BlogRush widget, and if you’d like to get a ton of free traffic to your blog, I suggest you do the same.

When you add the BlogRush widget to your blog, your post titles will immediately start showing up across a bunch of related blogs that have signed up for BlogRush themselves (I am using the “lifestyle” category for Romance Tracker).  If your blog gets 100 page views a day, your links will show up 100 times on other blogs.  If it gets 1,000 page views a day, your links will show up 1,000 times.

blog-rush.jpg

It’s a pretty simple and cool premise.  And what’s even better is that if you refer another blog to BlogRush, your links will be shown even more based on the traffic they receive.

So go sign up for BlogRush if you get a chance, and you could get a bunch of free relevant traffic to your blog!
